Weekend Review

We had a great weekend, even though almost all of us are in various stages of colds...

Aunt Cindy and Mema arrived Thursday afternoon.  We spent a "quiet" evening at home, enjoying homemade mac and cheese, pinto beans, a fresh veggie tray and fruit for dinner.  The kids needed no time to adjust to Aunt Cindy and Mema.  They were both very excited to see them!

Friday morning, Aunt Cindy and I did the weekly grocery shopping while Meems and Mema watched Isaac and Kathryn.  Friday afternoon we began our day long celebration of Meems's 60 birthday.  We met two of Meems's very special friends at Little Bistro for lunch.

After a LONG afternoon nap, we met Jonathan for a family dinner at Carrabba's.  The kids did remarkably well!

Saturday, we enjoyed a French Toast breakfast at Meems and Pop's, played the morning away (both indoors and out), ate lunch, enjoyed another LONG nap and then ate leftovers for dinner that evening.

Sunday, we had planned to go to church, but colds kept us home and we all enjoyed a lazy morning at our respective homes.  We gathered at Pop and Meems's for Sunday dinner, headed back to our house for Sunday afternoon naps, ate Pizza Inn takeout for supper and enjoyed a crackling fire while watching Aunt Cindy's DVD tribute to Meems.

All in all it was a great weekend!
