As part of my reading, I came across a suggestion to start "play pen" time at three months of age for multiples. The suggestion is to place some toys in a play pen (in our case, pack n play), place the kiddos in and let them have-at-it! You start with a time of ten minutes with the ultimate goal of working up to forty-five minutes of play pen (pack n play) time. I started this yesterday and had pretty good results!
