Father's Day: The Early Edition

Our family celebrated Father's Day 2011 on June 12 instead of June 19 due to Jonathan's travel schedule for work.  We started the day by attending church as a family.  Afterwards, we decided to swing by the store long enough to pick up a few more items to grill: Italian sausages and a pineapple.  Lunch was entirely grilled (well, I did microwave some leftover brown rice...).  We enjoyed Italian sausages, veggie kabobs and pineapple in a yummy honey drizzle.

The kids headed to bed for afternoon naps.  Jonathan and I cuddled on the couch (something we haven't done in YEARS) and ultimately fell asleep.

We headed into town for supper at our favorite pizza place, Pizza Inn.  After enjoying their buffet, we met up at our house to open Father's Day gifts.  Jonathan received a point and shoot camera (for use during his business trips), a camera case and a SD card.  Pop received a HUGE Klean Kanteen with sport cap.

What a wonderful day, indeed!
