And the Firsts Just Keep on Comin'

The past two weeks we have hit, as one friend calls it, a "developmental explosion". (Perfect description, A! Thanks!) The changes we see in Isaac and Kathryn are literally occurring each and every day. It kinda makes me long for those ho-hum days when the kiddos simply ate, slept and produced dirty diapers...well, maybe not! But these recent developments do make me realize just how quickly Isaac and Kathryn are changing and how we truly need to enjoy every possible moment on this journey.

Kathryn is creeping with an occassional crawl; pulling up; clapping; waving; playing "Sooo Big"; self-feeding Cheerios, cheese, smushed peas, freeze-dried fruits, and bits of toast; saying "da-da" and "ma-ma" (really constantly chattering); "singing"; moving into a seated position from tummy; shaking her head "no" and tonight...she pulled herself up to her feet, ALL BY HERSELF! Look at how proud she is?! (And the best part is, she figured out how to get herself back down...smart girl!)

Isaac is crawling with an occassional creep; pulling up; self-feeding Cheerios, smushed peas, freeze-dried fruits, bits of toast, Cheerios, Cheerios and more Cheerios (this kid is gonna turn into a Cheerio--and he has almost perfected his pincer grasp!!); saying "da-da" every once in awhile and "mmmm" when he wants Mommy; moving into a seated position from tummy; shaking his head "no" and has two top teeth with more top teeth on the way. Our smiley little boy has finally returned since those two top teeth have broken through. In fact last night, he started giggling as Jonathan carried him up to his crib for bedtime. It was quite funny!

Something tells me these next three months we are in for one wild ride...
